Smoke Grenade

It is distinct from the Assassin runner's Smoke Screen ability and functions as a universal tool available to any runner who chooses to equip it. On a strategic level, it excels at controlling the flow of engagements by forcing enemies to either push blindly into the smoke or wait and cede positional advantage.

The Smoke Grenade has particular synergy with runners and loadouts using thermal sights, which can see through smoke and allow the user to shoot into the cloud while remaining visually hidden from those inside it. This creates a one-sided information advantage that rewards proactive smoke placement.
