Reinforced Shields V2 is a prestige rarity shield implant in Marathon and the top tier of the Reinforced Shields family, granting one additional reinforced shield slot on top of the base shield reinforcement. Reinforced shields take half damage from incoming attacks, so this extra slot compounds the defensive value significantly. The cost is -15 Prime Recovery and -15 Tactical Recovery, which slows the recharge rate of both your prime ability (the ultimate-tier signature move) and your tactical ability (the more frequently used active power).

As a prestige tier implant, Reinforced Shields V2 is one of the rarest and most powerful shield implants in the game. The tradeoff shifts the penalty away from mobility entirely, instead targeting ability economy. This makes it a surprisingly strong option for runners who rely on passive or weapon-focused builds where abilities are used infrequently or as situational tools. It is a poor fit for ability-uptime builds that depend on constant prime or tactical usage. The combination of reinforced base shields and an additional reinforced slot makes Reinforced Shields V2 one of the highest-ceiling defensive shield implants available.
