The Access Key is a standard-rarity key found in the Perimeter zone that unlocks a laptop positioned on top of a shipping container at the upper level of the North Relay point of interest. Unlike most keys in Marathon, this one does not open a door to a room but instead activates a piece of terminal hardware: interacting with the laptop grants access to data or mission-relevant content tied to the North Relay area. North Relay is a high-traffic zone in the northern part of Perimeter, and the container perch where the laptop sits requires some vertical navigation to reach. The Access Key is a random drop found in containers across Perimeter, and runners who discover it mid-run should consider heading to North Relay before exfiltrating to make use of it. Its utility is distinct from other zone keys, making it a useful objective for players pursuing exploration contracts or data-gathering runs.
