Drum Mag

The Drum Mag is a magazine slot weapon mod in Marathon that greatly increases the number of rounds a weapon can hold before requiring a reload. By replacing the standard magazine with a high-capacity drum configuration, it allows runners to sustain fire through extended engagements without interruption. Compatible weapons include the Bully SMG, Copperhead RF, Impact HAR, M77 Assault Rifle, and Overrun AR, covering a range of automatic and semi-automatic platforms.

The Drum Mag is an excellent choice for runners who find themselves running dry during prolonged firefights or who want the confidence of a larger ammo pool when engaging multiple targets in sequence. The tradeoff compared to lighter magazine options is typically a slower reload animation, but the extended capacity reduces how often that reload is needed in the first place.
