Motionsense Chip

The Motionsense Chip is a chip slot weapon mod in Marathon that integrates motion detection technology directly into the weapon's systems. It enhances the runner's ability to track moving targets, improving the responsiveness of aim assist and making it easier to stay locked onto enemies that are strafing, sliding, or sprinting across the field. This is especially relevant in PvP situations where opposing runners constantly change direction to make themselves harder to hit.

The Motionsense Chip pairs well with weapons that deal their damage over a sustained stream of fire, such as SMGs and assault rifles, where keeping the reticle on a moving target across multiple frames is more important than landing a single perfect shot. Compared to the Keen Scout Chip, which focuses on detection range, the Motionsense Chip is more reactive, helping runners perform better once a fight is already underway. It is a strong pick for aggressive runners who frequently engage mobile opponents at close to medium range.
