The BRRT SMG is a compact submachine gun chambered in Light Rounds and built around a five-round burst fire mechanism. Despite firing in bursts, its 1000 RPM fire rate within each burst makes the BRRT one of the fastest-feeling weapons in Marathon at close range, with 15.4 damage per shot adding up quickly across a full burst. Magazine capacity sits at 35 rounds, giving ample staying power in extended close-quarters engagements. The weapon uses projectile-based rounds rather than hitscan, meaning lead must be given on moving targets, but the high aim assist of 2.44 compensates well in tight spaces. Accuracy comes in at 60.5% and effective range is limited to 27 meters, making the BRRT a dedicated indoor and short-range specialist.

Time-to-kill against unshielded targets is just 0.72 seconds, one of the best values in the SMG class, and even purple-shielded opponents fall within about one second of sustained burst fire. The high recoil score of 143.6 is the BRRT's biggest weakness: uncontrolled bursts at medium range will scatter rounds wildly, so crouching and spacing bursts carefully is key to maintaining effectiveness beyond point-blank range. The 3-second reload time is manageable given the large magazine, and the 1.1x zoom reflects the weapon's intent as a close-range tool. Compatible mods include the Flechette Split Action, which expands its spread pattern, and the Far Reach Optic for runners looking to push its range ceiling. The BRRT SMG was introduced in Season 0 Server Slam and is priced at 1,000 credits, making it one of the most accessible high-burst options in the game.
