Deimosite Rod is an Enhanced-tier salvage material crafted from a dense, impact-resistant mineral compound native to the harsh environments of Tau Ceti IV. Named for its resemblance to the structural rods found in UESC military installations, Deimosite Rods are prized by the Traxus faction for their use in reinforcing weapons platforms and military hardware at mid-tier upgrade nodes. This material is primarily found in the Maintenance point of interest on the Dire Marsh map, a large industrial complex with multiple floors and numerous loot containers that frequently cycle Enhanced-tier salvage. Runners completing the Cutthroat Competition contract for Traxus will find Deimosite Rods to be a key requirement. Because they drop from specific POIs rather than open-world spawns, Deimosite Rods are noticeably rarer than Standard salvage and worth prioritizing when encountered.
