Unstable Gunmetal

Unstable Gunmetal is a Standard-tier salvage material consisting of degraded metallic alloy recovered from the industrial wreckage littering Tau Ceti IV. The alloy's unstable molecular structure makes it unsuitable for direct manufacturing, but Traxus OffWorld Industries has developed proprietary refining processes that extract its raw potential for weapons production and military hardware. Unstable Gunmetal is the primary upgrade material for the Traxus faction, feeding the early nodes of their upgrade tree and unlocking access to the faction's wide selection of weapons and weapon mods. It drops freely throughout Perimeter and Dire Marsh from standard containers, tool carts, and arms lockers. Runners aligning with Traxus should prioritize collecting Unstable Gunmetal early, as it is the cornerstone material for progressing one of Marathon's most weapon-focused faction upgrade trees.
