Thruster

Thruster is a passive trait ability belonging to the Destroyer Runner Shell in Marathon. It allows the Destroyer to perform a quick aerial dash in the direction they are currently moving, providing a burst of horizontal or upward momentum that can close distance to an enemy, reposition in the middle of a fight, or escape a dangerous sightline. Unlike the Vandal's movement traits which carry a heat cost, Thruster is a direct burst mobility tool built into the Destroyer's kit.

Thruster is particularly effective when used in combination with the Riot Barricade Tactical: the Destroyer can activate the frontal energy shield and then Thruster forward, advancing rapidly on an enemy position while protected from incoming fire. This combination makes the Destroyer one of the most effective Runners at safely closing distance across open terrain. Thruster also provides a valuable evasion option in situations where the Destroyer has overextended, offering a brief burst of movement speed to reach cover or regroup with squadmates before an enemy can capitalize on the opening.
