Med-Drone

Med-Drone is the Triage Runner Shell's Tactical ability in Marathon. When deployed, it releases a small floating drone that follows the Triage player or nearby allies, continuously restoring health and shields over time. The drone can prevent bleed-out by sustaining teammates who have been downed or heavily damaged during an ongoing fight, making it a critical tool for extended engagements where the team would otherwise need to retreat for recovery.

Med-Drone's value is significantly amplified by the Triage's Shareware.EXE trait, which causes any medical consumable the Triage activates to also benefit teammates who are within range of the drone. This effectively doubles the reach of each consumable use, making Triage one of the most resource-efficient Runners in the game when consumables are available. With a cooldown of approximately 5 seconds, Med-Drone is one of the faster Tactical abilities to reset, allowing Triage to maintain near-constant drone coverage during high-intensity fights. Deploying it at the start of a contact rather than reactively after damage has accumulated is the strongest pattern for sustained squad survivability.
