Disruptor is the Vandal's Tactical ability in Marathon. It fires an energy projectile from the Vandal's arm cannon that knocks back any enemy it strikes, creating distance between the Vandal and a threat or pushing enemies off objectives and advantageous positions. The ability is chargeable: holding the activation builds up the shot for a larger blast radius and increased knockback force, while a quick tap delivers a smaller, faster burst. This flexibility makes Disruptor useful in both point-blank escape situations and mid-range crowd control.

Disruptor has a cooldown of approximately 5 seconds, making it one of the faster-recovering Tactical abilities in the game. The Vandal's hit-and-run playstyle benefits greatly from this quick reset: after disengaging with Power Slide or Microjets, the Disruptor may already be available again to push back any pursuers. Charged shots are particularly powerful when the Vandal has cornered an enemy or wants to interrupt a revive attempt, as the area knockback can scatter a grouped squad. Managing the charge time without overcommitting is a key skill for effective Vandal play.
