Power Slide

Power Slide is a passive trait ability belonging to the Vandal Runner Shell in Marathon. It extends the Vandal's slide distance and increases slide speed compared to other Runners, allowing for long, rapid slides that cover significant ground while maintaining low profile. Like Microjets, using Power Slide generates extra heat, so sustained use without Amplify active will accelerate the Vandal toward an overheated state.

Power Slide is an essential tool for both offensive approach and evasive escape. Offensively, a long slide closes distance quickly while presenting a harder-to-hit target and transitioning directly into close-range combat. Defensively, sliding out of a fight at high speed can break enemy tracking and create the separation needed to recover health or let a cooldown reset. Chaining a Power Slide into a Microjets double jump creates an unpredictable combined movement pattern that is notoriously difficult for enemies to counter.
