Introducing: Sekiguchi

Introducing: Sekiguchi is a CyberAcme Liaison contract that unlocks the Sekiguchi faction through one of Marathon's more unsettling introduction sequences. Sekiguchi's interests on Tau Ceti IV are medical and biological: the corporation studies Runner physiology, augmentation, and the colony's biological remnants. This contract sends Runners to Outpost and asks them to inject themselves with a Necrotic Sample recovered from a secure UESC facility, then submit to a full shell scan so Sekiguchi can log the biological effects. It is equal parts test and data collection, and passing it means volunteering your Runner's body as a research subject.

The contract requires two objectives completed in a single run in Outpost. First, Runners must find and inject the Necrotic Sample located in southern Flight Control. Second, they must proceed to southeastern Orientation and use a scanning booth to log their shell's current biological state for Sekiguchi's records. Both objectives must be completed before exfiltrating. Completing the contract awards 60 Faction Reputation and unlocks the Sekiguchi faction along with its upgrade tree, which includes shell ability cooldown reductions and biological resilience upgrades. It is the shortest of the Liaison introductions but narratively among the most distinctive.
